LBR Law College: Law College in Varanasi
This institution began its pioneering quest for excellence in legal studies in Varanasi under the name of Lokbandhu Rajnarayana Law College, being founded in the memory of Late Rajnarayana. He was very prominent socialist leader. His aim of life was to give secular social justice to every people irrespective of sex, caste and religion. He defeated Indira Gandhi in 1977 general election from the constituency of Raebaraeilly.
The education at this college is not limited to imparting legal knowledge to the students on various legal subjects but includes a kind of legal training which could enable the students to develop the capacity for rational thinking, articulation, presentation of arguments and sensitivity to the social needs, for their participation in social development & national integration.
The college aims to train student with high degree of professional skills, with special sensitivity to ethical and moral concerns, comprehensive knowledge in tax and corporate laws, litigation, environmental laws, health care organization, laws and international laws. The college has become one of the stalwarts in field of legal education in and around Varanasi. Students come across the city and neighboring districts like Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Gyanpur and even from Allahabad to seek admission in the college.
The College possess time to time approval of Bar Council of India for the LL.B 3 Year Course. The college was established in the year 2004 with first batch running from session 2004-05.
College was affiliated to Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University till 2008 and from session 2009-10 the college is affiliated with MAHATMA GANDHI KASHI VIDYAPEETH, VARANASI.
